Burundians campaign for freedom of 3 students over scribbling of President’s photo

Burundian school girls hit the headlines last week after the government arrested them for scribbling on a photo of the president.

The photo of president Pierre Nkurunziza which is the back of the school text books was scribbled by the young girls.

Burundians or Twitter has launched a campaign against government for detaining school girls who scribbled on his pictures.

The girls arrested are of age 15, 16, and 17 respectivefully and if charged, they will face a minimum of five years in jail.

Social media users have shared many scribbled pictures of the president online.
