Uhuru’s directive in Namibia that will change immigration as we know it

Speaking after meeting Kenyans living in Namibia, President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed relevant government agencies to ensure that Kenyans living in diaspora are issued with new generation passports. 

The president also added that his government is determined to change the lives of all its citizens regardless of their location.

He said that the issuance of the new generation passports will improve their lives.

 “Last evening I had the pleasure of meeting Kenyans living in Namibia. After our discussions I directed relevant Government agencies to come up with mechanisms of ensuring that Kenyans in the diaspora are issued with the new generation passports in the countries of their residence,” he said.

The head of state, who is completing his second and final term in office, also said he is dedicated to the fight to end graft. He said that he will not spare anyone including his brothers and sisters. He noted that the war against graft doesn’t target anyone.

“If you are corrupt we will fight you. You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally but if you are corrupt we will fight you. I won’t be clouded by ethnicity or status in my quest to leave behind a united nation and I will continue championing for Kenya’s unity,” he said through his official Twitter account.

He also said that the nation has the potential to do better only if corruption is dealt with accordingly.  

“Kenya has great potential but there is need to change practices that hinder our country from achieving progress,” he said.
