Kenyans were on Friday surprised when they realized that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s social media accounts had been temporarily suspended after an alleged breach by suspicious individuals.
It seems the President’s stand on corruption generated all manner of reactions.
President Kenyatta had in a post on his accounts promise to deal with corrupt individuals irregardless of whether they were his friends or brothers.
After the Post, the President’s accounts went missing from the Social Media Space.
Chief of Staff in the Office of the President Nzioka Waita would later confirm that there was unauthorized access to the official social media handles of President Kenyatta and as such they had to be suspended to alllow for the undertaking of remedial measures.
“On account of unauthorized access to the official social media handles of H.E the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta .All official social media handles for the President have been temporarily suspended to allow for the necessary remedial measures to be undertaken,” said Nzioka.
