Ruto Out of FAVOUR: Even His Condolences Don’t Soften Kenyan Hearts!

Even while sending his condolences to the family of the late Zambia High Commissioner to Kenya Brenda Muntemba, William Ruto has lost popularity among the Kenyan people.

“We send sincere condolences to the people of Zambia following the passing on of Brenda Muntemba, Zambia’s High Commissioner to Kenya.

“She was an astute diplomat, who endeavored to strengthen Kenya-Zambia relations and broaden our collaboration. May God give her family grace to bear this great loss. Rest In Peace,” he tweeted.

His message, however, elicited a string of reactions from Kenyans who were less than impressed by his lack of empathy for people reported to have died of hunger in Kenya.

“You’ve the guts to send condolences to the people of Zambia but you cannot send condolences to your Voters in Baringo and Turkana who lost their lives coz of hunger,” one user stated.

Another conveyed, “We are also sending our condolences to our dear people from Turkana and Baringo mostly those lost their dear family members due to famine.”

Earlier on, DP Ruto dismissed reports that Kenya had died from hunger in Turkana and Baringo counties over the prevailing drought situation.

“There should be no cause for alarm. The National and County governments have put into place measures to ensure there are no casualties as a result of this drought,” he stated.
