Harambee Stars jetted out for Accra, Ghana early Thursday ahead of their final African Cup of Nations qualifier match against the hosts, Black Stars. Despite having already qualified for the continental showpiece, the team will be looking to finish on a high in the West African country.
In preparation for the big day, here are some of the players Kenyans should watch out;
Patrick Matasi
The current St. George goalkeeper has not conceded a goal in the 270 minutes played; he is the second best after Denis Onyango of Uganda who has helped his team
Victor Wanyama: The captain missed the first leg owing to an injury, but was in great shape against Ethiopia. With Dennis Odhiambo in midfield, they looked formidable and controlled the proceedings. Scored from the penalty against Walya Antelopes to help Kenya claim a 3-0 win and will be relied on against the Black Stars.
Musa Mohammed
The former Gor Mahia captain has been in a devastating form for the national team and was the reason why the team kept the three clean sheets in a row.
Made several interceptions and ensured Matasi has little to do at the back. Was a good game reader and threw his body on
Allan Wanga
With Michael Olunga out, Pistone Mutamba just making a return and Massud Juma yet to play a match in Libya, Wanga is the perfect candidate to start upfront for Kenya against the Black Stars.
He has been in a great shape at home, scoring nine goals for Kakamega Homeboyz already this season.
Erick Johanna
The former Mathare United star has directly been involved in all the four goals Harambee Stars have scored so far this campaign. He has scored one and created the rest; all eyes will be on him against the Black Stars. His creativity will be needed by the Sebastien Migne led side on Saturday.
