National  Under 23 soccer team ‘The Emerging Stars’ are back in the country from Sudan where the side lost by two goals to nil to the host nation in an Africa U23 Cup of Nations cum 2020 Olympics Qualifier.

Emerging Stars veteran tactician Francis Kimanzi termed the 2-0 loss to Sudan in the first leg as disappointing, with the boys having given a good account of themselves.

He, however, noted that the outcome of the match is behind them and the team is now focused on Tuesday’s return leg at Kasarani stadium in Nairobi.

The winner on aggregate will face either Libya or Nigeria in the third and final qualifying round.
