Rongo town residents woke up to a shoking incident after a 30 year old man was reported dead after what was said he developed complications while in a lodging with his girlfriend.
The Rongo Police are now investigation the incident of the man who has been identified as Collins Odhiambo Ochieng.
While confirming the incident the sub-county Police Commander Kibet Kirui, said that the deceased developed complications and could not manage to breath well and was rushed to Rongo Hospital.
In addition he said, the man’s girlfriend account indicated that he developed the complication at the wee hours of the night 2.00am and she escorted him to the hospital.” The officer said that the man’s girlfriend reported the incident at around 4.30am on Wednesday morning.
“The woman told police that she went to the man that night where they booked the said room before he fell ill. He died while undergoing treatment at Rongo Hospital,” added Kirui.
The Rongo police boss Kirui said they are doing investigations on the matter so that they can establish the cause of the man’s death.
The body of the deceased was taken to Rosewood Mortuary in Rongo town awaiting postmortem.
