On Wednesday evening, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations detectives landed on six individuals believed to have been behind the fake currency that was discovered in a safe box at Barclays Bank, Queensway branch.
The fake currency amounted to slightly over 20 million US Dollars.
The fake notes in 100 Dollar denominations were recovered from the Bank’s Safe Room
The Bank however distanced itself from the currency, citing that it would help the police with the investigations.
