Recently, there has been a lot of conversation on corrupt Cabinet Secretaries, especially after Henry Rotich oversaw the loss of 21 billion.
Mwangi Kiunjuri , AGRICULTURE
Embattled Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri is the Richest Minister in Kenya with a net worth of 798 million. But this was a declaration he made in 2019. We don’t know if he has benefited from all the scandals that have rocked his Ministry in recent times; NCPB and fertilizer scandals.
Kiunjuri owns several buildings in Nairobi, Nanyuki and Sagana. He was at one time the MP for Laikipia East.
Simon Chelugui, Water and Sanitation
Little known Water and Sanitation CS is the second richest Minister in Uhuru’s Cabinet. His net worth is approximately Sh796 million comprising investments in real estate, movable assets, and farming.
Joe Mucheru, Ministry of ICT
Joe Mucheru replaced Fred Matiang’i as the ICT Minister in 2015. He said his worth 500 million with a deferred income of Sh267 million. Mucheru made a lot of money from his time working at Google. He was Google’s first Sub Saharan employee.
Eugene Wamalwa, CS Devolution
The Devolution Minister is worth 400 million, just within kissing distance of half a billion.
He said he owns farms, houses and a thriving law firm that has even represented Yoweri Museveni, Uganda’s president, in 2001.

We both know Keriako Tobiko from his time as DPP. Tobiko was appointed the Environment Minister in 2018. He said he is worth Sh360 million comprising of investment in real estate, agriculture, and livestock.
Charles Keter, Energy and Petroleum
Charles Keter’s Ministry has been rocked by some of the biggest corruption scandals in the Jubilee Government. Kenya Pipeline, Kenya Power all fall under his docket. We don’t know if he is a beneficiary of any of these scandals.

She informed the Committee that her net worth is approximately Sh200 million comprising investments in shares, farming, and real estate.
