Passaris mourn’s death of Zambia High Commissioner to Kenya

The Nairobi Woman Representative is mourning the death of Zambia’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Brenda Muntemba-Sichilembe who passed away after she was involved in a road accident in Machakos in February.

While taking to her twitter account Ms Passaris wrote her message of condolence saying, “Saddened by the passing of Zambian High Commissioner to Kenya and women’s right advocate, Amb. Brenda Muntemba-Sichilembe. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends and to the People of Zambia. Rest in Peace. “

Ms Muntemba died at the Nairobi Hospital after she was admitted at the Intensive care unit.

The accident also involved her Botswana’s counterpart Duke Lephoko. The two sustained injuries after Muntemba’s car collided head-on with a lorry.

The accident occured while enroute to Nairobi from a meeting at Maanzoni Lodge in Athi River.

Muntemba was operated on to stem internal bleeding before she was taken to ICU.

Prior to her appointment as High Commissioner, Muntemba served as Southern Province Police Commissioner and Chief Program Officer at UNESCO in Zambia.
