The famous street couple we all grew to love is back in the gutter and among those to blame include bonfire adventures. This comes days after Githeri man also came out to announce his woes.
After wowing Kenyans with their aesthetic photoshoot sharing love in the streets way back in February 2018, Sammy Black and his wife Virginia Njeri had no idea their simple photos could touch the hearts of Kenyans who came forward to support them and even offered them a better life.
Just when they thought their lives had changed for the better, Sammy and his bae are now back in the streets once again even after they were treated with a free exotic holiday to Diani and a promise to have their 6-month house rent paid.
“When I was in the plane I thought my life was completely changed and I saw myself becoming very successful. We were taken to Diani and we were given some foods which I even didn’t know their names,” he told local media station.
The couple is now blaming their sponsor for neglecting them and their efforts to reach him for a job offer has been futile.
“Muchiri was using us to feed himself, he even promised to open a car wash for us and to have our rent paid. He only paid for four months and after that life became unbearable. We tried to get a job and every time I asked him about the car wash business he ignored us. I even went to his office at Bonfire Adventures and he told me to wait outside but he din’t come,” he narrated.
Just like the morning dew that withers away so quickly when the sun rises, so was the couple’s life whose story can be narrated simply as a rise from grass to grace and back to grass.
“When I look at the photos, I remember that journey and I fall into depression. The situation becomes worse when my colleagues laugh at me saying even if you go with a plane you will come back here,” said Sammy who currently roams around Galitos on Moi Avenue.
