Sossion Defends Public School Teachers Against New Curriculum

A report prepared by the Kenya National Union of Teachers has shown that a large majority of public school teachers are not prepared for the rollout of a new curriculum.

While addressing the press today, Secretary General of KNUT Wilson Sossion has said that the study was carried out in 37 counties, and found that public school teachers were unable to keep up with the new curriculum that was being rolled out.

Over the years, private schools have benefited over public schools because of the adequate training that is provided to teachers, enabling them to field exceptional candidates that clinch top positions at some of the most prestigious universities in the country.
