Fake billions discovered in Nairobi city bank

17 billions of fake currency have been nabbed in a safe at Barclays Bank, Queens way branch Nairobi.

A statement released by a local media revealed that a Tuesday raid at the branch located along Mama Ngina street led to the discovery of the large consignment of fake currency

“Flying Squad discovered a safe containing Ksh17 billion fake currency at Barclays Bank, Queens way branch,” stated K24.

According to reports from the sources, the security authorities were camped at the bank in a bid to uncover a fake currency syndicate.

This comes after a raid done in Ruiru where 8 billion fake currency was found in a box and was allegedly linked to EX-CS Rashid Echesa.
