Orange Democratic Movement has joined Kenyans to mourn the death of Dr Ali Hamso Mbishi a brother to Likoni MP Mishi Mboko.
Mr Ali was studying Masters Degree in Medicine before he met his untimely death.
On twitter post ODM sent a message of condolences to MP and her family.
” Condolences to the family of Likoni MP and Dep. Director of Elections Hon. @MbokoMishi following the death of her brother Dr. Ali Hamso in Cuba where he had gone to pursue Masters Degree in Medicine. We pray for God’s fortitude to the family during this sad moment,”the post reads.
Its alleged that Mr Ali committed Suicide at his apartment due to hard times that they were going through.
They had earlier complained to the government that the living standards at Cuba were very high and they couldn’t afford.
He was among the 50 medics sent to Cuba for further studies at the University of Medical Sciences in Havana. The program was going to cost the Kenyan government Sh215 million.
The medics were going to receive a month stipend of Sh36,000 during their stay in Cuba but the government has been inconsistent in the payments.
It has been said that the doctors have been struggling due to the high cost of living in the foreign country. For example, a cup of tea goes for at least Sh600 while a Sh30 exercise book goes for Sh800.
The postmottem results will be released to determine what exactly happened.
