Revealed:Age-related condition may lead to ENLARGED PROSTATE

Enlarged prostate, also known as Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH), is a condition that makes the increament of the male organ that is associated with old age.

It has now been revealed that man with this condition urinate more often and more suddenly.

Enlarged prostate is considered a natural process of ageing as it mostly affects men above 40 years and the chances of being affected by the condition increase with age.

Men suffering from this condition usually don’t exhibit any symptoms and if present they commonly include:Difficulty starting and stopping urination,Weak stream of urine and dribbling of urine especially after urinating.

As the symptoms progress, you may develop bladder stones, bladder infection, blood in your urine, damage to your kidneys due to back pressure caused by retaining large amounts of extra urine as well as sudden blockage of the urinary tube, making urination impossible.

Medication

Your doctor may give you medicines such as Proscar and Avodart to treat the condition. The two work by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which affects the growth of the prostate gland.

Surgery

A doctor may recommend a surgery to remove prostate tissue locking the flow of the urine.This method is very effective though it has some side effects.
