It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry.
The department of Trade, Tourism & Investment played a lead role in the successful hosting of this prestigious event in the tourism fraternity last year.
Mombasa hosted the Congress from 17th to 21st October 2018 at Pride Inn Paradise and Resort in Mombasa and this marked the first time for the event to be held in Kenya.
During the conference, members had the opportunity to meet with experts who offered insights into trends and emerging technologies in the travel and tourism market, plus finding ways to improve the business and stay competitive in the current economic climate.
Yesterday, Hon. Rashid in the company of other delegates represented the County Government as the Chief guest in Skål appreciation cocktail held at Pride Inn Flamingo Beach Resort.
The success of the SKÅL Congress has clearly demonstrated the County’s ability to attract and host large international Conferences.
Mombasa County officials assured that through the tourism sector, they will work with the private sector to put up structures for bidding and hosting conferences of this magnitude.
