Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has demanded the immediate sacking of the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti.
The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator took issues with how the DCI has been conducting investigations, alleging that he is biased and often targets certain individual presumably to end their political careers.
He alleged that DCI Kinoti is biased and often targets people by pinning crime on them and then digging for evidence.
“Naskia anakaanga chini anasema huyu Murkomen anaongea mingi sana. Hakuna makossa amefanya mahali? Hebu tafuta watu muangalie account yake mkipata makossa mniletee.” Murkomen said.
Murkomen who was breathing fire dismissed DCI Kinoti as useless calling for his immediate sacking.

The Senator alleged that he (DCI Kinoti) sits at his home with particular politicians and plots how to bring down the career of certain politicians in the name of fighting corruption.
“Ati unakaa chini kwako (Kinoti) asubuhi na wanasiasa fulani unapanga jinsi ya kuangusha mtu fulani…”
He called for the establishment of independent constitutional bodies to tame rampant graft in the country, alleging that the existing ones have been biased.
