Tottenham priced out of move to sign longterm target

Tottenham appear to have accepted defeat in their pursuit of Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

The Daily Mail reports that Spurs are still long-term admirers of the player, but believe he will be too expensive ahead of the summer transfer window.

The London club have drawn up a five-man transfer shortlist but Zaha is unlikely to be pursued.

With Real Madrid continuing to be linked with a move for Christian Eriksen, Spurs look like they’re planning for life without the Dane and a move for Zaha had been mooted.

Tottenham were heavily linked with the Ivorian international last summer but were unable to clinch a deal.

Zaha instead put pen to paper on a new long-term deal at Selhurst Park, but that has not stopped questions surrounding his future.

Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with Zaha in the past, but it remains to be seen if they will pursue a move in the summer.
