Dp william Ruto has once again taken war with Raila over his remarks asking Aisha Jumwa to seek forgiveness from ODM’s disciplinary committee.
The DP had earlier accused the opposition chief of mischief for alleging to be in the business of uniting Kenyans yet he was expelling others from political outfits and causing divisions in the country.
Ruto further said uniting Kenyans should not have any boundaries.
ODM delegates voted to eject Malindi legislator Aisha Jumwa for disloyalty, owing to her support for Deputy President William Ruto and his bid for the presidency come 2022.
Ruto via his twitter account wrote:
You who’ve masqueraded as champions of women, now in your true colours expel a woman elected in her own right after defeating men and blackmail her to kneel and worship you as an ‘apology’. Crime?associating with elected DP of GoK you have ‘handshake’ with. Tragically deceitful
Ms Jumwa fought against her punishment, accusing the party of disregard for the law, corruption and on Tuesday refused to apologise to ODM, insisting that her expulsion from the party was illegal.
She said the disciplinary committee that recommended her punishment was not properly constituted.
The vocal MP maintained that she had made her position clear when she appeared before the National Executive Committee (Nec) to defend herself.
“I have heard what my party leader has said. But I want to take this opportunity to ask him to demand a brief from Nec on what transpired when I appeared before it,” Ms Jumwa said.
ODM Communication Director Philip Etale rubished the claims calling it a waste of time as the country as the country is now focused on more progressive matters/issues affecting millions of Kenyans.
