How Former UON Student Leader Ocs Ragira Was Killed in Brutal Fashion

The gruesome murder of University of Nairobi Student leader Samuel Ragira has once again put the police on the spotlight over increasing cases of extrajudicial killings.

Ragira better known by many as OCS Ragira or Zagazaga was allegedly killed for opposing the continuos terrorizing of traders and students by a goons believed to be the Mungiki who were being protected by th Police.

According the late Ragira, the goons were soliciting 10,000 shillings from traders in exchange for stalls.

Yesterday saw Ragira storm Klabu Market, the market the goons were apparently terrorizing traders at and it is here that he met his brutal death.

Klabu Market is located opposite Nairobi Primary School and it is here that the goons have been demanding for money in exchange for stalls.

Ragira was shot at by the armed goons and by 8pm on Thursday, police officers had already collected his body from the scene and taken it to the City Mortuary.

On Wednesday, Mr Ragira sensationally claimed that Klabu traders were being attacked by “mungiki.”

He went ahead to allege this was happening under the watch of the police.

“Students are being harassed and beaten as the police watch. We want to know why the police can side with people terrorising innocent Kenyans,” he posted on his Facebook page, adding that he was personally threatened by a panga.

By 9pm on Thursday, students from the University of Nairobi had camped at the City Mortuary where his body was taken and condemned the murder of Mr Ragira who is associated with the university.
