Popular Radio Station goes off air..

105.5 XFM

XFM has always been known for its elaborate playlists consisting of mostly rock music.

Radio Africa is closing one of its radio stations, XFM, to create room for the unveiling of a new station dubbed Smooth FM.

The management said that it was finally closing the station due to serious financial constraints.

It was not, however, clear if the station was making losses at the time of this writing.

They further stated that  to the new station, Smooth FM, which will specialise on Rythm and Blues (RnB) music.

Among the presenters set to make the switch is Classic 105‘s Drive show presenter Terry Muikamba. She would be the first to move.

Muikamba, who claimed that she was not aware of the new changes at the station since she had not been to work yet.

She was set to report to work on Friday, March 15.

Time to wait and see what the new Radio station will have to offer.
