Prof. Magoha Reveals His Biggest Weakness

“I am 67 years old, an alumni of Starehe Boys Center. I am a trained urologist and started teaching at the University of Lagos in 1979. I was approached by the Kenyan government to come lecture in 1987, left the Lagos job where I was earning Ksh.100,000 to come and earn Ksh.6,000,” That is how Prof George Magoha introduced himself to the vetting panel during his vetting on Thursday at Parliament buildings.

The renowned professor cut the figure of a serious man who will go all out to restore sanity in the ministry of Education.

It is clearly evident that with Magoha at the helm, Kenyans Education Sector is sector is headed for a whole new set of reforms.

Magoha went ahead to share his experience at the Univeristy of Nairobi. He spoke of how he made the University of Nairobi the Education hub it is today.

The no-nonsense Magoha revealed that his major weakness is working backwards.

“When I took over at the University of Nairobi, there were many stalled projects, we completed them. My weakness is working backwards, I start from the goal I want to achieve,” he said.
