New claims have come up through Lisa Van Allen, who was one of the women to speak out in documentary Surviving R Kelly. She claims that Kelly told her he was sleeping Aaliyah’s mother and also that that time Aaliyah was pregnant by him.
Kelly – real name Robert Sylvester Kelly – married Aaliyah in 1994 when she was 15 and he was 27.
The marriage certificate stated that she was 18, with Kelly’s tour manager Demetrius Smith admitting that he helped forge the documents.
Now, in an interview with Vlad TV , Lisa claims Kelly talked to her about the reasons behind the wedding.
She said: “He told me about him and Aaliyah, their situation, they had a pact, pins and eyeballs.
“No matter what anyone said or if anyone stuck pins in their eyeballs they would never tell about their relationship, things like that.
“He told me that they were married, that she was pregnant, that they did doctor up the marriage certificate so she would say she was 18 so they could get married.
“And the reason they got married was because they felt like if he was married to her and he said he thought she was 18 then he wouldn’t be charged if someone found out she was pregnant, until they were able to get an abortion and get it annulled.”
When her interviewer says he was led to believe that Kelly married Aaliyah because he got her pregnant, Lisa said: “Yep, that’s exactly what happened.”
“And this came out of his mouth,” she added. “I could take a lie detector test to this, this is what he told me, specifically told me.”
She reiterates that it’s “not a rumour, it’s the truth”.
The interviewer also says that Aaliyah never spoke about the marriage.
“They stuck to their pact,” Lisa says.
Lisa was asked if she questioned Kelly about why he was having sex with a 14-15 year old when he was 24 or 25.
She said: “I never asked him why, I guess because we were kind of in a conversation of just confiding in each other.
“But he did get a little more in depth with details of when her mother found out and that her mother, he actually stayed at their home in Detroit and her mother was actually sexually attracted to him as well and he said when Aaliyah would go to sleep that he would…
“Now this it what he said, he said he would go in the living room and him and her would do sexual acts on the couch while Aaliyah was asleep in the bedroom.”
The interviewer is shocked to hear the claims that Kelly was engaging in sexual acts with both Aaliyah and her mother during the same time period.
Lisa again claims it’s something Kelly directly told her.
Aaliyah’s mother, Dianne Houghton, has previously hit out at claims Kelly had sex with her underage daughter.
Releasing a statement, she claimed that backup singer Jovante Cunningham, who said she saw Kelly and Aaliyah having sex, was lying.
Dianne said: “The woman and so-called back up singer in the forthcoming ‘Surviving…’ documentary that describes seeing, meeting or ever breathing the same air as my daughter, Aaliyah, is lying and is a liar.
“My husband and I were always on tour with her and at interviews and every place she went throughout her entire career. Whoever this woman is, I have never seen her before anywhere on planet earth, until now.
“These lies and fabrications cannot be tolerated and allowed to be spewed from the forked tongues of saboteurs of Aaliyah’s legacy.
“My daughter only wanted to realize her dream for sharing her talent with the world, and give her all performing on stage, and in front of the camera for the fans she adored so much.”
Lisa also says Kelly opened up to her about suffering sexual abuse at the hands of his sister.
She described graphic sex acts she says Kelly claimed his sister made him perform on her when they were children.
She says that made it comfortable for her to talk about her own history with abuse, and that it brought them close together.
Kelly’s brother, Carey, has also spoken out about their older sister, Theresa, claiming she molested them for six years when she was left in charge while their mother was at work.
