The Political Parties Disputes Tribunal on Tuesday offered the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party 10 days to respond to its decision to stop the removal of Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa from the party.
Jumwa together with Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori, had been accused of supporting Deputy William Ruto’s bid as President in 2022.
The tough talking Malindi lawmaker was kicked out last week and vowed to move to court over the matter.
“I will pick up the fight from where they left off. The journey has begun.
“Jumwa is now stronger than before. I am not a person you scare with threats,” remarked Jumwa.
ODM party leader Raila Odinga had earlier stated that Jumwa would only be accepted back in the fold if she apologized.
He urged the politician to emulate the decision taken by Dori.
The National Governing Council of the party during a meeting, had unanimously agreed that the lawmaker was found disloyal to the party.
