Mike Sonko issues stern warning to Nairobi slay queens who throw away their babies after birth

Cases of babies been found abandon by their mothers after birth is alarming, over the weekend an infant was rescued in Nairobi slam after he was left to die by his mum who tried to strangle him.

Nairobi governor, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, has issued a stern warning to mothers who throw away their babies after giving birth saying such cruel and evil acts will no longer be tolerated in Nairobi county anymore.

” This Kind of nonsense will not be toarated in Nairobi, i have been saddened by a woman who delivered a bouncing baby boy and abandoned him after tying the baby with a tight rope on the neck, maybe trying to hang strangle him to die”.

The baby was rescued by a good Samaritan and rushed to Mukuru kwa Reuben Maternity Hospital where the rope on the neck was removed and some first aid done on him.

The governor has offered huge reward to anyone who will help bring to book the culprit.

” I strongly condemn this inhumane act and I’m offering a reward of 100,000/= to anyone who will give information that will help the police get the person behind this heinous act. I wish instead of doing this to an innocent angel the mother had come reached out to well-wishers for help in raising him” He wrote.
