Siaya County Senator James Orengo has now urged the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti to summon the Deputy Prresident William Ruto over the Arror and Kimwarer dams’ scandal which has got his name dragged in it.
While speaking Sega town during the launch of ODM party campaigns for the Ugenya Parliamentary by-election,Senator Orengo claimed that the DP had information that could help with the loss of the said money.
Orengo’s claims came after the DP maintained that there was no money lost and the money in question was Ksh 7billion which he said that the government was ready to account for it.
According to Orengo, the statement from the Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry rotich and that of DP Ruto were contradicting hence the reason why DP Ruto should be interrogated.
His sentiment come a time when the DCI is investigating the scandal.Last week the DCI summoned CS Rotich who appeared at the DCI headquarters for four days to answer the allegations while accompanied by his lawyer Katwa Kigen.
