Arsenal is looking to make a bid of £18 million to sign Belgian star Yannick Ferreira Carrasco in the summer transfer market.
If a report by the Daily Express is to be believed, the Gunners have reignited their interest in a star they were interested in signing in the winter transfer window.
The Premier League giants are still in the transfer market for Dalian Yifang star Yannick Carrasco, with a summer offer worth £18 million being eyed.
The Belgian took a strange decision to depart from Atletico Madrid for the riches of Chinese Super League to sign for Dalian Yifang, a decision that stars have usually taken in the twilight of their careers.
However, the move to Asia has worked out well thus far for the player, who has become an important figure at the club.
Yannick has started the new campaign strongly as well, scoring the late equaliser in Dalian Yifang’s first match of the campaign.
But, as per reports ever since the winter transfer window, it is said that the 25-year-old forward is eager to return to Europe, with the Gunners being linked with them strongly.
Unai Emery’s side were among the sides who were interested in signing the Belgian star in the winter before a transfer failed to materialize.
But, the continued interest in the star makes sense, with Arsenal bereft of a natural winger in Unai Emery’s roster.
In fact, this lack of wide men has seen several stars being played out of position, something the manager is looking to address in the summer transfer market.
But, the report claims that a move for Yannick depends on whether the London-based outfit exercise their option to land Denis Suarez, who signed for the club on loan from Barcelona in January.
