Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 has crashed on its way to Nairobi with deaths being reported as per report from Ethiopian Prime Minister’s office.
A spokesman for the airline told confirmed that 149 passengers and eight crew members were on board the plane when it crashed.
“It is confirmed it happened 8:44 (am),” the spokesman who did not give his name said.
The cause and location of the crash remained unknown on Sunday morning.
The plane crashed just 6 minutes after take off.
Details have however emerged that the jet is a brand new Boeing 737 MAX 8 – delivered to the airline just four months ago.
