Westlands MP extends a noble act to Kangemi survivors

Tim Wanyonyi, Westlands MP, on Thursday, cleared the hospital bills of 15 victims of 2019’s Kangemi fire  

Hundreds of slum dwellers in Kangemi were left homeless after a huge fire destroyed their houses and property of unknown value.

The fire, which started at around 10 am Tuesday, destroyed the tin sheet houses located off Waiyaki Way, before the Kangemi flyover.

The legislator, through his personal assistant, handed over the cheques to help out the victims of the fire.

According to reports by the Nation, over 40 people were injured with 19 being attended to at the Eagle Health and Clinic Services hospital in Kangemi.
