South African president jealous after parliament applauds Trevor Noah

The Daily Show host Trevor Noah grabs attention that made South African president jealous.

Trevor Noah made appearance in South African parliament.

Cheers broke out when President Cyril Ramaphosa, who was in the house to answer questions from MPs, introduced the Daily Show host as his special guest.

“Trevor, I never get this type of applause so I am jealous,” the president said.

Trevor Noah has gained international recognition through comedy and has seen him propel his social status.

Noah yelled from the public gallery: “Whose fault is that?” Eyewitness News reports.

The president told MPs Noah had recently set up a foundation that would focus on education.
