The Zuri Award Ceremony went down yesterday at an event hosted in Villa Rosa Kempiski.
The host of the event was Citizen Tv news anchor who is also a woman of impact in the media industry.
Zuri Awards is an annual prestigious awards event to celebrate phenomenal women in Kenya.
The platform has been in existence since it’ inception in 2016 and seeks to recognize and celebrate outstanding women.
This year’s theme was dubbed ‘Balance for Better’ which also happens to be the 2019 theme for the day.

Agnes Nonsinzi bagged an award under the media category
She is an entertainment Publicist & TV Show Host and Co-Founder & Director at Terazo New Media.

Rafiki Africa was last night recognized at Zuri Awards. On their Instagram page, they expressed that they felt honored to receive an Award on behalf of all Rafiki team, girls and women that they serve.

Benazir Mohammed was recognized for her work on advocating against FGM and Education .
Winner of Manufacturing Category
Mary Ngechu is a Social entrepreneur who is passionate about skills development & creation of decent jobs.
She was yesterday honoured for being a phenomenal woman of impact in the manufacturing sector
