KRA Commissioner of Customs and Border Control Kevin Safari affirmed that the three vehicles had been nabbed during a custom clearance process.

Safari explained that one of the containers was labelled as assorted household goods, a Vauxhall Insignia Elite and a Nissan Juke while the second one was marked Toyota YARIS VVT-1 and household goods.

Police revealed that the stolen vehicles were discovered after they were tipped off by the National Vehicles Crime Intelligence Service.

Detectives noted that investigations to identify the people involved in the incident had already begun.
