In the spirit of celebrating the InternationalWomen’s Day on Friday, Tana River Governor Dhadho Godhana decided to treat ladies in his county to free makeovers in select salons.
The women streamed into the premises in Hola Town to access the beauty services such as hair, manicure, pedicure and facial scrubs.
The treat resulted in booming business for the salon owners who had been contracted to offer the services.
The women also called on the governor to extend the courtesy to their small enterprises, by providing low-interest loans.
On his part, Governor Godhana urged the women to open up companies and entirely take their 30 percent share of the tender awards.
He conveyed the economy depended on enabling the women in the enterprise sector, asking the women in the county to step up their ability to the national level.
