Why Nairobians don’t like ‘Sonko lion’?

The lion statue which Governor Mike Sonko erected in City Centre has become the talk of the day.

Kenyans have described the statue as a raw deal with netizens claiming it looks like a character out of a television cartoon series.

Mr Sonko came under fire yesterday after the pictures of the lion erected in the city centre started doing rounds on social media.

The lion statue that was erected on University way roundabout brought mixed reactions to Kenyans who couldn’t stop talking.

Others have come out to criticize the way it was sculpted and that it didn’t deserve to be placed in the city centre.

Kenyans on twitter who are always on high alert on trending issues were also not left behind as they came out to ridicule the statue and asking Governor Sonko what they did to deserve the embarrassment as Nairobi residents.
