An American documentary titled Leaving Neverland depicting the stories of two men who claim Jackson abused them sexually for years has caused uproar worldwide.

According to a report by ENCA, Sydney’s Nova Entertainment will take Jackson’s music off the air because it is what the public wants.

This comes after famous RnB star R Kelly faced backlash after being accused of sexually assaulting underage girls. In light of what is happening at the moment, SmoothFM is not currently playing any Michael Jackson songs,” a statement by one radio station read.

Australian radio network, ARN, is keeping a close eye on how the public will react to the pop star’s music after the documentary has been broadcast.

Jackson’s music has almost completely disappeared from New Zealand’s airwaves as their two top radio networks, NZME and MediaWorks, pulled his songs off the air. MediaWorks also said they follow the public’s preferences.
