Darkness seem to be taking over the life of Self-Proclaimed Prophet of the Lord David Owuor.

Allegations after allegations keep befalling this Man of God that has so far managed to attract himself a huge following not just in Kenya but across the World.

Owuor has been accused of swindling a woman she allegedly made loose her memory of property worth billions.

The woman identified as Jayne Muthoni was once a senior Lawyer but apparently abandoned her legal practice to become a Bishop at Prophet Owuor’s Church.

She was also once Prof. George Saitoti’s lawyer and a close confidant for that matter and with that, the late Saitoti gave her some properties.

The Properties Owuor is accused of using dubious means to lay his hands to range from high-end apartments and a posh home located at Nairobi’s Riverside with the apartments trickling millions to Prophet Owuor’s accounts.

Away from the apartments, Owuor is accused of defrauding Jayne Muthoni of more than Sh800 million.

That money, Jayne’s family say was part of the Sh1.1 billion that Muthoni’s company received from the sale of a 1,200-acres in Thika.

Njagi, Muthoni’s sister said his sister’s land was sold in 2011, but payments were made in instalments.

A few years after the first instalment was made, Njagi claimed that Owuor deceived her sister to drop the initial lawyer who negotiated the sale of the property and appoint another lawyer — Jane Gathara — his faithful and confidante.

“The money started going missing after the appointment of Gathara because we understand that the full amount was paid to Gathara and the money channelled elsewhere,” Njagi said.

The DCI is investigating the land saga.

Lawyer Gathara has however denied any wrong doing and has insisted that the money in question was deposited in Muthoni’s Bank of Africa account.
