Fresh from hosting one of the most successful events last weekend—the Captain’s Prize— Ruiru Sports Club will on Saturday field over 200 golfers for the Lady Captain tourney. The Lady Captain’s Prize (Veronica Mwaura) has attracted entries from Clubs across the country and is sponsored by among others the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
Others are Forever Living and Trident Insurance. The event comes hot on the heels after the Captain’s Prize hosted over the weekend in honor of Peter Mwaura who was re-elected unopposed for a second term as golf captain. Over 280 golfers took part. Last weekend’s winners Patrick Miitii and Jane Mwaura are expected to lead the charge at the par 72 course.
“We are in for another very exciting weekend of golf. The course is playing well and we have made plans to ease flow and we promise a superb experience for the golfers,” said Veronica, the outgoing Lady Captain who has had a successful stint at the helm.
Mary Muthoni who was the Vice Lady Captain takes over the mantle at the Thika Road based outfit.
