A 15-year-old boy was on Wednesday night arrested for allegedly defiling a three-year-old girl at Nyalenda slums in Kisumu Central Sub-county.
The Class Eight pupil is said to have been caught in the act by his mother who then informed the girl’s parents, leading to his arrest.
The boy was taken to Nyalenda Police Post where he was detained.
The girl, who in nursery school, was rushed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital where it was confirmed that she was defiled.
The suspect also underwent medical tests at the hospital as police seek to establish grounds for prosecution.
