Stunning: A Nigerian Man Caught Hiding Human Skull

The Oyo State Police Command, on Wednesday in Ibadan, paraded a 30-year-old suspected Fulani man, Musa Ahmed, who was allegedly caught with a human skull in Ogbomoso.

Ahmed and another man, who is currently at large, were reportedly intercepted in a commercial vehicle by operatives of the Igbeti Area Command, led by ASP Tajudeen Toys, during a stop and search, and a human skull was found in a bag suspected to belong to the suspect.

Ahmed, however, told our correspondent that he was innocent of the crime and was only implicated because he is from the Fulani tribe.

He said, “I went to the motor park to board a car travelling to Ogbomoso from Ilesa Baruba in Kwara State. That was not my first time of travelling through that route. I put my bag in the booth of the vehicle like every other passenger.

“When the police stopped us to check our luggage, my bag was near that of another passenger, who took to his heels as soon as the bags were being checked. Three policemen ran after him but couldn’t catch him.

“So they said I knew about the skull they found in his bag. I was accused because I was the only Fulani man in the vehicle.”

Ahmed, who claimed to be a farmer and a herder, is set to be charged to court by the police after a detailed investigation by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Iyaganku Ibadan.

The command also paraded 17 other suspects, who were said to have committed various crimes, including armed robbery, burglary and stealing, hijacking of fuel-laden trucks, impersonation, receiving diverted goods and unlawful possession of firearms.

According to the police, 162 ammunition, 131 cartridges and 16 guns were recovered from the suspects.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Shina Olukolu, said the police would not neglect their primary duty of tackling crime in the state before, during and after the general elections.
