Ethic Crew cancelled from performing in top festival over legal issues

The Ethic Crew have yet again faced backlash after they were cancelled from performing in a top Kenyan Festival ‘ Hype Fest’ over legal issues.

This announcement comes days after the viral video of one of their member SWAT who was beaten up with the claims of an attempted theft.

Ethic Crew however clarified on the situation saying that SWAT had no intention of stealing and the beating by the mob was out of a false alarm.

The crew had promised to bounce back yet again they are faced with another backlash.

The Hype Fest which will be going down in April 27/28 this year was a platform for the to share a stage with Naiboi, Khaligraph Jones, Kansoul among other top artists.

The event organizers, hype group limited made the announcement on their Instastory saying that due to the ongoing legal issues regarding the ethic entertainment, they will not be featuring during the festival.

Last year, the Lamba Lolo hit makers had been banned from performing some of their songs since they had a pending case in court.

The court case even costed them  to the pull down some of their songs from YouTube including ‘Lamba Lolo’ and messed the relationship between the crew and the management.

At the beginning of this year, Ethic announced that they will be working under a new management.

Despite their efforts to start on a clean slate, the embattled artists are currently going through a difficult time.
