“If your father died. And very early in the morning you find an old man coming out of your mother’s house then you have no option but to call that old ma your father.”
These were the words Francis Atwoli used to describe the dilemma that Deputy President William Ruto is facing in relation to the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
According to Atwoli, Ruto should not fight Raila because it is like fighting his own mother.
“Whether Ruto likes it or not Uhuru has decided to work with Raila…” Atwoli said.
And now Atwoli has advised Ruto to embrace Raila for his own sake. He said that Raila is in a strategic position to guarantee Ruto the Presidency in 2022 if they can find a formula of working together.
