Thika beer billionaire Kariuki begins retaliation

Beer Billionaire Humphrey Kariuki has blamed the closure of his liquor factory to business rivalry.

Kariuki has now started to fight back and he demands his factory to be re-opened after one month of closure.

Kariuki says that the entire adventure was a plot by his business opponents who are utilizing State apparatus to fight him and cause him huge misfortunes.

Kariuki depicted himself as an investor associated with different business interests in Africa and Europe.

A multi-task team pioneered by Kenya Revenue Authority conducted a raid on his WOW Beverages plants in Thika town in January, and shut them down over claims of tax avoidance.

KRA later instructed the Immigration to stop the flight of Kariuki and chiefs of the two organizations on grounds they could escape the nation to escape charge risk adding up to Sh1.2 billion.
