Police sued for raiding and stealing from businessmen

Businessmen Robow Holo and Ibrahim Nurow are suing the police force for raiding their business, during which they stole goods and cash.

They claimed that an officer forcibly entered their business premise without a warrant on January 30, 2019, and took away goods worth Sh1.2 million and Sh500,000 in cash, then arrested them.

In retaliation, Mr Holo and Mr Nurow sued police officer Abdirahim Abdulahi, the County Director of Criminal Investigations, the Director of Criminal Investigations, the Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General.

Through Lawyer Kipkoech Ng’etich they wanted to amend their case further to include the Director of Public Prosecutions.

They want the court to order the items and cash returned. They are also seeking a declaration that the officer is not fit to hold office.

The case will be mentioned on March 12.
