Passengers advised to check their flights after 11 a.m amid strike mayhem

The ongoing strike by the Airports Authority staff in Nairobi has left thousands of passengers left stranded.

However Transport CS has assured passengers that Airport operations and flights will resume at 11 amid strike mayhem.


Passengers are also advised to check their flights after 11 am.

As of 10.02 am the JKIA has resumed operations. However passengers willing to reschedule flights are being advised to do so.

The JKIA workers have downed their tools due to an ongoing row. Which has been further fueled by the plans to hand over the Airports management to a struggling Kenya Airways.

A move that the Airports Authority workers are strongly opposed to. Claiming that the move to privatize JKIA is most likely to render them jobless.

In addition the KQ’s management is accused of paying hefty salaries to the executive. Not to mention dishing out jobs to people who have low or no qualifications.

The  Jomo Kenyatta International Airport also enjoys class 1 status with direct flights to New York and London.Nairobi Ranked 6th in worlds most dynamic cities

Similarly Kenyans online have rendered their support to the striking airport staff members. Adding their voice in a bid to stop the projected merger. With fears that the Kenya Airways management is likely to run JKIA down to losses same as the Airline is.
