Man Utd Star Paul Pogba Breaks Silence On Bust-Up Claims With Romelu Lukaku

United have been in some fine form after sacking Jose Mourinho for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

One of the reasons behind The Special One’s departure was his relationship with players, with Paul Pogba reportedly not in his good books.

The Frenchman has a tight bond with several team-mates, though, with Romelu Lukaku among his closest of pals.

But a report in The Sun revealed that the duo had a major fallout following the Southampton victory.

In the dying moments, the Red Devils were granted a penalty and Pogba took the ball despite Lukaku being on for a hat-trick.

The Sun report that the pair had a big argument in the dressing room afterwards, a claim that has been vehemently denied by the Belgian.

The former Everton hitman appeared to respond to the claims with a cryptic post online, saying: “When the hate don’t work they start telling lies.”

And Pogba has also broken his silence on the matter, posting a screenshot of Lukaku’s Instagram story onto his own.

The World Cup winner left it up with the caption: “Hahahahaha people are too funny bro.”

Meanwhile, Pogba is suspended for tonight’s Champions League encounter with Paris St-Germain.

In the dying moments of the first leg, the former Juventus ace was sent off for a high challenge on Dani Alves.

But his form has been stupendous since Solskjaer took over and United legend Rio Ferdinand said it was only a matter of time before he shone again.

He said: “A lot of people wrote Pogba off, said he wasn’t trying hard enough, said he was not good enough to play for United, but I knew that was nonsense, total nonsense.

“This is a guy who has already won so much in his career, who scored in a World Cup final last summer and people were saying he wasn’t up to the task of playing at the highest level? Give me a break.

“Instead of picking out the negatives and trying to find what Pogba can’t do, find the positives and realise that he is the most effective midfielder in the Premier League when he is played in his proper position and utilised in the right way.

“Ole and Micky [Phelan] didn’t need long to understand how to get the best out of Pogba and almost from the moment they arrived, his performances changed. The same can be said of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and a few others because they are now enjoying their football again.”
