President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday evening attended a rare night out with other delegates attending the Devolution Conference hosted by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

This happened after Uhuru fearlessly attacked the governors over careless talks and embezzlement of public funds. If you looked at the president talk you think that he will leave the conference and find solace at a lonely place to calm his nerves.

Sorry if you thought so, the political fights never last as their Tuesday night was full of fun, characterized by country music where Jeff Koinange was the Mcee.

Kenyatta was also joined by his deputy William Ruto as they were entertained by county music singer SirElvis and Kidum.

The event was emceed by media personality Jeff Koinange who has recently been in close collaboration with Sir Elvis – often hosting sold out country music events.

Others who attended the event included Public Service CAS Rachael Shebesh, Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina, and PSCU Director Dennis Itumbi.

President Kenyatta on Tuesday afternoon opened the six annual Devolution Conference themed, “Deliver. Transform. Measure” with a clarion call of “Remaining Accountable”.

The conference, attended by over 6000 delegates, is expected to go on until Friday March 8.

It is expected that the four-day annual event will boost the area’s economic activity with the sleepy town of Kerugoya operating for twenty-four hours as delegates unwind after the lengthy speeches and presentations made during the day.

Waiguru had earlier distributed 150,000 condoms for use during the conference.
