I’ve read the ongoing story on Prophet Owuor’s alleged plot to taken over control and occupancy of a property belonging to a woman by the name Jayne Muthoni and it appears to me it is Muthoni’s family that wants to defraud their kin of her properties.
Prophet Owuor is just being used as a scapegoat. There is a desperation to curtail the phenomenal growth of Owuor’s Church in Kenya.
The Owuor Church – Repentance and Holiness Ministry – is saying that all woman’s properties are still in her name. No takeover. Only a church member is helping her administrate (the media does not dispute this fact). The woman’s family however want control of the properties.
As any other Church, Owuor’s Church has a dresscode and the faithfuls follow it religiously. Same dresscodes are in all the other churches…all other religions…but somehow Owuor’s church’s dresscode is also an issue
The woman’s (Jayne Muthoni) child was ‘healed’ by Owuor. It is at that point she decided to faithfully follow the Church…none of the relatives is disputing the fact that Owuor healed the woman’s son…and that’s what triggered her faith in Owuor (and she decided to attend/follow his church)
Owuor’s Church reveals all the woman’s properties are still in her name…remember the recent catholic nuns fallout in St. Mary’s Hospital saga? If Owuor’s Church wanted to dupe the woman into ‘donating’ her properties to the church, what has stopped them?
