Urine Guzzler: Meet Fabian

In your wildest of imaginations, you may not have entertained the thought of drinking urine, worse still, deriving pleasure from drinking overstayed urine!

Fabian Farquharson, however, has his own trusted wellbeing method – and it’s probably not to everybody’s taste.

Urine guzzler

For the past three years, the 37-year-old interior designer has been gulping down on a rather unusual concoction.

Having read up about the so-called health benefits of urine, Fabian, from Sheffield, now happily drinks a pint of his own “product” every day.

Fabian began researching alternative therapies back in 2013 after continuously suffering from stomach pains which doctors had not been able to diagnose or treat successfully.

“I was travelling a lot for work and eating junk food – Burger King, McDonald’s, anything convenient,” Fabian says.

Holistic diet

With no cure or explanation in sight, Fabian decided to adopt a more holistic diet and commenced a “fruitarian” diet (where you only eat raw fruit) and says he noticed a difference almost immediately.

As part of his research, Fabian then stumbled across information about drinking urine.

“I’ve always been open-minded about that sort of thing, so I decided to give it a go and drink it fresh.

“It tasted a bit like a bitter ale initially, it was quite strong but not a terrible taste and I had no problem finishing the glass.”

The effects he felt were even more instantaneous than those of his fruitarian diet.

Feeling amazing

“It was about half an hour later that I started to feel amazing, I was absolutely bursting with energy. Now I’d never go a day without it and would recommend it to anyone.”

Having felt better for drinking fresh urine, Fabian then began leaving some for up to a month to ferment until it reached a level of PH nine.

Magnification

This, he explains, is because by ageing the urine it goes through a ‘magnification process’ and any purported. Benefits are made more potent.

Explaining the process of ageing his urine, Fabian said: “I store it in glass containers like mason jars, label it with the date and then leave it for around 30 days.”
