President Kenyatta’s over the fence interaction with students becomes a hot topic

Kenyan online have reacted to President Kenyatta’s over the fence interaction with students and turned it to a hot topic.

The President was on his way to Kirinyaga University for the official opening of the 6th Annual Devolution Conference when he interacted with students of St. Bakhita, Kiburia Girls, in Kirinyaga County.

A section of Kenyans were however not impressed with the photos shared on the official state House twitter page as some even suggested that they should be pulled down.

Some of the leaders who spoke to the students are the Deputy President William Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

What Kenyans do not understand however is why the leaders talked to the students over the fence.

It is not all negative as some Kenyans say that the President was just passing by the school an therefore this should not really be a point of concern.

Here is what Kenyans think.

Please pull down these pictures or better still replace them even if you have to use fictitious or photoshoped ones. Where is the interaction here? when students are caged and a huge fence barrier between them like they have some leprosy surely?!— Mbadi Denice (@MbadiDenice) March 5, 2019

People here be talking about the fence?? Guys, that was not his destination.. @UKenyatta was just passing by on his way to Kirinyaga University..
We all know how H.E Uhuru Kenyatta love kids.. so wacheni porojo— Mkenya True (@True_To254) March 5, 2019

Why is there a fence between them and His Excellence…. They look imprisoned— Amy Kogi (@kogiamy) March 5, 2019

Why over the fence? Stop wasting time for these students and let them study. Did you tell them what awaits them after school? Deni ya China, HELB, and unemployment? I thought you should.— Ochieng Adul (The Nutritionist) (@ochieng_adul) March 5, 2019
