The Kenyan Political Scene has once again treated us to a number of happenings ranging from name mentioning in the ongoing wars against Corruption to tough talks at the 6th annual Devolution Conference that was officially opened by President Uhuru Kenyatta in Kirinyaga County.

Meanwhile DP William Ruto continues to be the talk of town after his recent outbursts on the ongoing war on Corruption.

PRESIDENT KENYATTA MAINTAINS TOUGH STAND ON WAR AGAINST GRAFT

The ongoing fight on Corruption has time and again seen a number of leaders claim that it is directed to a few chosen individuals and communities.

An angry President Kenyatta has today come out to set the record Straight and according to him, the Fight against corruption should not be politicized as it is not directed to any particular individual nor community.

While also in some sort of way trying to shield himself from blackmail and threats, the head of state has called on anybody with information regarding any property he has stolen to visit the Director of Public Prosecutions and provide the necessary evidence for his prosecution.

Well, the President certainly looks like a man on a mission to finally burry this Corruption menace once and for all.

RUTO’S APPARENT MASSAGING OF CORRUPTION ANGERS KALONZO

DP William Ruto’s latest tackle on various Investigative agencies with regards to the ongoing fight on corruption has come back to haunt him today. Ruto had claimed that agencies led by the DCI were sleeping on their job.

The DP has today invoked the wrath of former Vice President and Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Kalonzo has called out Ruto for apparently providing a breading ground for Corruption.

He has urged Ruto to give detectives time to conclude investigations into allegations that taxpayers lost billions of shillings in tenders for construction of Kimwarer and Arror dams.

“I would like to advise my brother William [Ruto] to stop saying there is no corruption at all. Allow the independent agencies to conclude investigations because constant tongue-lashing of the DCI [Directorate of Criminal Investigations] and DPP [Director of Public Prosecutions] is ruining the legacy the President wants to leave for the nation,” he said.

UHURU SETS THE 6TH ANNUAL DEVOLUTION CONFERENCE UP AND RUNNING

The annual 6th Devolution conference is officially on after President Uhuru Kenyatta graced it’s official opening today.

Uhuru arrived at Kirinyaga University in Kirinyaga County, to preside over the official opening Conference.

He was recieved by Deputy President William Ruto and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

During his speech, the President emphasized that the war on corruption will continue irregardless of what a few individuals who are out to blackmail him think.

He also called on County Governors to deal with corruption at the County Levels to ensure that public funds are properly utilized.

Opposition Chief Raila Odinga keeps making headlines despite not making it to the current government. His influence in the Country is something that cannot be doubted as his millions of followers across the Nation keep following him as they solely believe and trust in him.

The 2018 March 9th Handshake between Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta seem to have brought the now AU High Envoy for Infrastructure closer to the hear of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.

Uhuru learnt to trust Raila Odinga and even count on him especially when he needed advice on important issues affecting the Nation.

The latest turn of events has however seen Kenyans question Raila Odinga’s latest role in the Jubilee administration.

This is despite the fact that Raila is holding no official government position. CSs and other senior government officials keep going to his private office.

It has been claimed that these Cabinet Seretaries visit Raila’s office to seek advice on how to address some challenges facing state departments.

On Monday saw Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri lead a ministry delegation to Raila’s office to discuss the troubled sugar sector.

OUT GOES ECHESA IN COMES AMINA: DROPPED ECHESA HANDS OVER THE REIGNS OF POWER

The Curtains have finally fallen on outgoing Sports CS Rashid Echesa as he officially handed over power to incoming Sports CS Amina Mohammed.

Echesa was last week sacked in a mini-cabinet reshuffle by President Kenyatta with his position handed over to Amina who was in turn replaced by Prof. George Magoha at the Education docket.

Echesa’s sacking sent a lot of shockwaves across the country and especially in Western Kenya where Echesa hails from with leaders from the region calling on President Kenyatta to reconsider his decision.

Echesa also said that he was waiting for answers as to why he was sacked since according to him, he did nothing wrong to warrant President Kenyatta’s wrath.

As he is still waiting for answers, business must still continue as usual and with that in mind, the embattled former CS has handed over the reigns of power at the Sports Docket to Amb. Amina Mohammed.

In a small ceremony at Kencom, Echesa took time to thank President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto for bestowing their faith and trust in him when they appointed him CS 13 months ago.
